OVERNIGHT: Showers and storms are moving through the area and will continue into the early morning hours. Rain may be heavy at times. They should weaken as they move north with only a few showers lingering for the morning commute. Temps hold fairly steady in the mid 60s and with dewpoints in the 60s, we could see areas of fog for the morning.
MORNING: We’ll start off again with areas of fog and there could be a few showers but most areas will be rain free. Lows will drop the mid 60s.
TOMORROW: A mainly cloudy day with a lot of moisture streaming up from the south-southwest thanks to an upper level trough that continues to move overhead. Showers and storms will be more numerous especially after the noon hour through the rest of the day and evening. High temperatures will be held in the mid to upper 70s.
OUTLOOK: Still expect a strong cold front will cross the area late Friday night. It will keep the threat for showers and storms around for the afternoon and evening with highs only around 80 degrees. Following the front will be a much drier air mass in time for the weekend. Clouds will decrease overnight Friday into Saturday as high pressure builds in with northwesterly winds reinforcing the drier air into the region. Morning lows will dip to the 50s but we’ll rebound nicely under plenty of sunshine to the upper 70s to low 80s. Father’s Day is looking almost perfect for dads. It will be mostly sunny and comfortable. Highs will warm to the low to mid 80s.
STORMY, HUMID PATTERN RETURNS: Next threat for showers and storms retursn late Monday and continues through Wednesday. Temperatures will be warm and well into the 80s. Combine the heat with the growing humidity and it will once again feel pretty sticky around the area for a few days.
