Justina Pelletier, the 16-year-old Connecticut teen who was the center of a heated medical custody battle, is now going home.
A Massachusetts judge ordered Pelletier to be returned to her parents today.
Justina was taken from her parents custody more than a year ago when they disagreed with a diagnosis given by a doctor at Boston Children’s Hospital.
They asked to have her returned to her original doctor, but The Massachusetts Department of Children and Families stepped in, saying she was the victim of “medical child abuse.”
Justina posted a video to Facebook last week asking the judge to allow her to return home, saying all she really wants is to be with her family and friends.
