Lawrence and Michelle Klinger have barely slept or eaten since their daughter Erica Klinger vanished on June 8. “It’s not easy to lose a child,” Erica’s father Lawrence said.

A body was found Wednesday in Perry County, and the coroner believes it’s Erica Klinger. “I’m furious,” Lawrence said. “I just want to see justice be done. Anybody that was involved in it I want to see them at least get the maximum penalty.”

Two people that knew Erica were arrested in connection with her disappearance after they were spotted driving her car. Police arrested Maria Lara a couple weeks ago and charged her with ‘theft by taking.’ Her boyfriend, Luis Lugo-Davila was arrested Thursday night and charged with ‘flight to avoid apprehension.’

Lawrence said he thinks they were involved in his daughter’s disappearance and feels they took advantage of her kindness. “Anybody would come up and ask her for a dollar she would give it to him,” Lawrence said. “Anybody came up and say they were homeless and hungry, she would help.”

The Perry County Coroner said he is waiting to try and match dental records to the body before confirming if it is Erica. As for the Klinger’s, they have more questions than answers. “We’re coming together as a family but it’s still tough and hard,” Lawrence said.
