Pennsylvania American Water crews will be installing approximately 350 feet of new eight-inch pipe along Ridge Road, Derry Township beginning Monday, July 14. Ridge Road between West Areba and West Granada will be closed to traffic until the project is complete. Motorists are advised to find alternate routes. No disruptions to customers’ water service will occur during the construction.
The project replaces existing six-inch cast iron that broke after a sinkhole opened on July 8. The break was isolated and no customers were impacted.
Work should be completed by July 18. During the course of construction, customers might experience cloudy or discolored water.
