Police are searching for vandals who damaged a soup kitchen at a Harrisburg church overnight. Officers were called to St. Francis of Assisi along the 1400 block of Zarker Street for a report of a break-in on Tuesday morning.
Investigators say vandals emptied fire extinguishers inside the building, leaving fine powder everywhere. The soup kitchen was forced to close as crews work to clean-up the damage. It could take up to a week for the soup kitchen to re-open, police said.
