A boy scout in York County is renovating part of the York Little Theatre as part of his Eagle Scout project.
Noah Schmitt spends a lot of his free time performing on the stage at the theater and wanted to give back.
The scene shop back stage is one area used constantly but is a little worn with age. It’s the place where performers help create the sets that they will use in their performances.
“I asked Lynn, the executive director here, what I could do, and she said the shop back there really needs some renovating. So I came back here and looked and said yeah, we can definitely paint the place. We got a donation from Armstrong– flooring and what not– so we’re going to put new flooring down, and we’re just going to clean and organize, ” Schmitt said.
Schmitt and his fellow boy scouts spent their Friday painting and will put down the new floor in two weeks.
