Firefighters in Dauphin County worked to save a home from intense flames Saturday morning.
The fire broke out at this house on Longview Road in Lower Paxton Township around 11 a.m.
Crews say they arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the basement and out all of the windows and doors.
The homeowner was there and got out safely. Firefighters saved her pets, but say it wasn’t easy to fight the flames.
Chief Mike Fife with Paxtonia Fire Company says, “Damage in the home was limited to the basement, the guys got a good stop, however, the hoarding conditions throughout the house made operations very difficult.”
A State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
