Folks in Harrisburg came out to support their city on Saturday and enjoyed a day full of fun and games. The 5th Annual Shady's Community Day, was organized by the LeSean McCoy Foundation.
McCoy, who plays football for the Philadelphia Eagles, grew up in Harrisburg and holds the community day as a way to give back.
While he was not in town this year, there was plenty to do, from food and games to a number of informational resources.
Gina Roberson Community Impact Director says, "One, to allow the community to know what types of things are offered to them as far as assistance, education, employment and then we have different agencies with the school district, so you can get information about that."
Several people also took part in an ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in honor of McCoy's grandmother, Maryann Branch, who died from the disease in 2010.
Backpacks were also filled with school supplies and uniforms and given to homeless children in the Harrisburg School District.
