LOWER WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPMT)- Crews battled a fire are in Lower Windsor Township this morning. Firefighters responded to Manor Road near Furnace Road around 10:49 a.m.
When they arrived--heavy smoke and fire could be seen pouring from the home. Firefighters said that although the house is empty, a family's possessions were inside the home. Arriving firefighters heard ammunition going off inside. This only lasted a short while. There were also propane tanks in the basement of the home, and at this time it is unknown is any of them exploded. The roof collapsed as crews fought the flames.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
