Every year in Pennsylvania, hundreds of babies are lost during pregnancy or pass away just after birth.

A hospital in Harrisburg is trying to help families heal from these tragedies. Dozens of people took part in the 14th Annual "Walk to Remember" in Harrisburg, organized by PinnacleHealth -- all part of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

The walk started at the chapel and ended at the PinnacleHealth Memorial Site -- where families had the chance to honor babies they've lost -- during a remembrance service.

Parents say this event gives them closure. "I feel it's just another time for us to remember our son, to bring him closer to us and bring our hearts closer to him," said Allen Snook, a participant in "Walk to Remember."

Organizers say raising awareness of perinatal grief is important because they want families to know they're not alone and have support within the community.
