A woman is dead after a crash in Hopewell Township this morning. State Police say a Stewartstown woman was driving eastbound on 851 (also known as Bridgeview Rd) near Ziegler School Rd., when her vehicle crossed over the double yellow line and struck the trailer part of a tractor trailer traveling westbound on 851. The car then spun out and impacted an embankment where it came to final rest. The female driver was killed. She had no passengers. The tractor trailer driver was not injured and had no passengers. The driver has not been identified, pending notification of family. State Police say she was 51 years old.
The roadway is closed and the incident is still under investigation.
