FRIDAY: It’s a cold and windy day. As yesterday’s system pulls off the coast and deepens, the wind ramps up for us, helping to push cooler air into the region. Expect mostly cloudy skies with highs only in the upper 40s to near 50°. The winds will be northwesterly at 10-25mph, gusting into the 30mph range. The strong winds aloft with some energy will work with the Great Lakes to provide a few showers during afternoon. By late evening, the winds are fading and so are the clouds. We drop to near 30° overnight tonight!
FOOTBALL: High school football looks a tad chilly. The breeze will slowly relax through the evening as the clouds break. Temps slip into the upper 30s but it looks dry. Penn State is at Indiana on Saturday. Temps are in the middle 40s under mostly cloudy skies with the chance for a few showers. It’s breezy too.
WEEKEND: We start on a chilly note with temps near 30° to start Saturday. We top out in the upper 40s with partly cloudy skies. It’s cool, but dry. A clipper arrives overnight and brings us a few drops. We’re left mostly cloudy for the day Sunday with highs in the lower 50s. Enjoy.
WARM UP: We warm up this coming week to get started. Highs Monday top out in the middle 50s with mostly sunny skies. By Tuesday, we’re hitting 60° for a high under partly cloudy skies for Veterans Day. Enjoy it while it lasts.
CHILL: The early week warmth comes at a big price. A colder blast of air comes in to close out the week. We start Wednesday with clouds and a few showers while winds ramp up to usher in the chill. Highs hit the upper 40s Wednesday. Thursday is cold, with highs only in the lower 40s under mostly clear skies.
