It's beginning to feel and look a lot like Christmas in York.  A 42-foot tall Christmas Tree arrived in the city on Wednesday. Crews moved the blue spruce from Springfield Township to its new home in Continental Square in downtown York.

"It's one of the best days of our jobs, in our department," York Electrical Bureau & Building Maintenance Superintendent David Rudolph said,  "and it's one of the most hectic days to get it squared away picking the tree and everything. It's kind of stressful to find one, but once it's in, it kicks-off the Christmas season for them. "

The tree and labor was all donated to the city of York.

The tree will be decorated with about 3,000 L.E.D. lights. The lighting of the tree will be featured in the city's "Light Up Night" event on December 5th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
