YORK COUNTY, PA.(WPMT) – Police in York County investigate a series of recent home burglaries.  The first was reported on December 8 at a home in the first block of Alpine Drive in Jackson Township.

The victim told police that she had left two purses in the kitchen area when she went to bed. At about 1 am, she heard dogs barking.  Later that morning, she discovered that her purses had been taken. They contained cash, credit cards and her identification.  It is unknown how her home was entered.

On Monday, December, a resident in the 1200 block of Summit Run Court reported that sometime between 7 am and 3 pm someone entered their home and took four wrist watches.

Then yesterday, a resident in the 100 block of North Alpine Drive reported hearing someone walking around in the downstairs of their home at about 8 am. Whomever it was ran away when confronted by the resident’s dogs. Nothing was taken.
