“Wheel of Fortune” contestant Matt DeSanto had an impressive run on the game show that helped him set a new record for the 39-year-old series.  DeSanto is reportedly the first player to break the $70,000 mark before the bonus round and became the largest main game winner at $91,892.

Early on in the game he managed to solve a puzzle with only one letter on the board.  Just seconds after Vanna turned around the letter “E” on a “Character” he buzzed in with “The Lone Ranger.”

He then solved every puzzle in the game for the show’s first sweep since 2011. He didn’t win the bonus round, however, missing out on the $1 million prize.

The father of two is from Malvern, Pennsylvania and works as an operations manager, he says he’s been watching the game since he was 5.
