Camp Hill, Cumberland County (WPMT) -- Officials at New Cumberland River Rescue updated the search for a missing teenage hunter Thursday evening.
Search crews will be back out on the Susquehanna River Friday as part of a 3-day effort to find 17-year-old Medard Kowalski. He went missing on December 1.
The most recent searches have centered near the New Market boat launch, and there's no plan to alter the search area at the moment.
"This is one big operation, and... it's coming together really well," says Matt Stoner with New Cumberland River Rescue. "There's a lot of good knowledge, river knowledge, boating knowledge. There's a lot of people in the public [with] input, and we'll take it all."
Also Thursday, Kuppy's Diner in Middletown, Dauphin County held a fundraiser for the rescue operation. According to the diner's Facebook page, folks stopped in for a meatloaf or roast beef meal, with a portion of each customer's check going toward the search.
