YORK COUNTY, PA (WPMT) A container that overturned while being unloaded from a tractor trailer was the source of a hazardous material incident at the Wal-Mart at Shrewsbury Commons in southern York County. The truck was being unloaded at the rear of the store. York County 911 received a call at about 4:12 pm. Management evacuated the building.
About a dozen employees that were exposed to the unknown chemical complained of a burning sensation in their throats. Four were transported to the hospital but none of their conditions are considered life threatening.
The store reopened at about 5:45 pm.
