Police in Lancaster County are investigating the deaths of a married couple who were found shot to death in an apartment early Saturday morning.

Officers received a call to check on the welfare of residents in a home in the Kensington Club Apartment Complex on Wyncroft Lane just before 9:45 a.m.

Upon their arrival, authorities found a man and a woman deceased from gunshot wounds. Investigators determined the pair was married; it is believed that one of the two is the person who fired the shots.

The couple’s two children and two other adult family members were also in the home overnight. Police have not said when the shooting took place.

Police  have not released the  identities of the couple yet.

The Solanco School District issued a statement saying one of the deceased in the fatal shooting was former Solanco High School Assistant Principal Avery Wilson.
