"Front Street (in Harrisburg) has really been a problem for us," Schreffler said. "With the number of vehicles we have out there every day, we'll go out and fill (the pothole), and a week later, with the number of tire tracks going over it, the road crumbles apart and the potholes open back up."
In the meantime, PennDOT urges drivers to travel slow on pothole-filled roads, and when you see potholes, report them with a specific location to the department's pothole hotline, 1-800-FIX-ROAD.
