Fire crews battled a 3 alarm fire in Lebanon city Friday morning.
Officials say the fire broke out just after 3:00 a.m. along the 500 block of East Cumberland Street.
Deputy Fire Chief of Lebanon City George Brossman says the fire initially started in the kitchen of a middle row home (number 523), before flames ripped through two other homes.
Due to the timing of the fire and the heavy amount of flames when firefighters first arrived, more than 100 firefighters from different areas were called in to battle the fire, Brossman said.
The middle row home is completely destroyed, while one of the other houses has serious damage and the third has minor damage.
A total of four people suffered from smoke inhalation but are expected to be okay.
Chief Brossman says the outcome of the fire could’ve been more tragic if it weren't for the family having working smoke detectors.
The fire is now under control. American Red Cross is assisting 13 people so far who were displaced from all of the homes involved.
