A federal grand jury in Harrisburg indicted a civilian contractor Wednesday on charges that he misused government credit cards to fuel his own personal vehicle.

The indictment alleges Scott J. Robinson, of Shippensburg, bought fuel and other unauthorized items totaling $3,602 between February and July 2014 when he was performing landscaping and lawn care work at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle.

He is charged with theft of government property.

Robinson was supposed use the four government-issued credit cards to purchase fuel for government-owned vehicles under the contract.

If found guilty, he faces up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
