SHIPPENSBURG (WPMT)-A 31-year-old Harrisburg man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in Shippensburg earlier this month.
Christopher A. McClain was arrested on March 19 and charged with deviant sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, simple
assault, indecent assault and indecent exposure. Authorities also charged McClain with institutional vandalism after police said he urinated in a holding cell several times while awaiting transportation to prison. He was taken to Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $250,000.
The alleged incident happened March 9 in Shippensburg. Officers responded to the residence after receiving a phone call regarding an intoxicated man, later identified as McClain, who refused to leave the apartment.
The woman told police McClain sexually and physically assaulted her and then held her against her will in the apartment.
She was eventually able to sneak away and call for help.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 30.
