HARRISBURG, PA (WPMT) Reports of multiple gunshots led to a brief lockdown at the Harrisburg City School District Administration at 1601 State Street. School officials put the building on lockdown as a safety measure.
District employees reported hearing multiple gunshots in the neighborhood behind the building. City Police searched the area but found nothing. The lockdown was lifted after about 45 minutes. School District spokesperson Kirsten Keys says fortunately the school had already dismissed students in its Cougar school program earlier in the afternoon.
