HARRISBURG (WPMT)- A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of wanted Harrisburg fugitive– Shawn McCoy.
McCoy, 20, is wanted by Harrisburg City Police for his role in a robbery and shooting that happened early Wednesday.
According to police, McCoy and two others, identified as 24-year-old Sharyne Cook and 25 year-old Yusef Chandler-Blake, were involved in a robbery along the 200 block of Verbeke Street around 2:36 a.m.
The trio fled the scene in a vehicle and refused to pull over as officers tried to stop them. McCoy fired at investigators during a chase that lasted for several blocks, police said.
The vehicle chase ended along the 3000 block of Penn Street when all three suspects got out and fled on foot.
Officers arrested Cook and Chandler-Blake. But McCoy remains on the loose.
McCoy is considered armed and dangerous. Investigators said that McCoy has stated, “he would rather die than go back to jail.”
Cook is charged with two counts of robbery, criminal conspiracy, flight to avoid apprehension, fleeing and eluding police and driving without a license. Chandler-Blake is charged with two counts of robbery, criminal conspiracy, flight to avoid apprehension and escape.
McCoy is facing numerous charges including criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, two counts of robbery, criminal conspiracy, flight to avoid apprehension and carrying a firearm without a license.
