MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Students with disabilities are often times not able to take part in track and field events at their schools, but on Thursday, there was an exception in Lancaster County. Local non-profit, IM ABLE Foundation, organized a track and field day at Spooky Nook Sports in Manheim Township to get kids moving.

Students from all across the county participated in everything from basketball and volleyball to rock climbing. The mission of the event and the foundation is to empower those with disabilities by redefining what is possible for  them to do.

"We just work to get people going and get them moving," IM ABLE Foundation Development Director Alexy Posner said.  "Our whole tag line is just move, no excuses.  So, that's what we're doing;  No excuses, just get out there and move  and you might do it a little bit differently than a fully able bodied person,  but, that doesn't matter, you're still moving.  So, you're still doing it right."
