NEWPORT, Pa. — State Police in Perry County have arrested a high school teacher after they say he allegedly showed up to his class drunk.
According to police, the 49-year-old Corey Bell is facing endangering the welfare of children charges after troopers were called to Newport High School just before 1:00 p.m. Tuesday. They found Bell drunk in his classroom and alcohol on him.
According to the schools web page, Bell teaches several subjects at Newport High School.
School officials removed him from his classroom and placed his students in a safe location.
