MIDDLE PAXTON TOWNSHIP, Pa.–A standoff with an armed suicidal man in Dauphin County ended peacefully Thursday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania State Police reports.
Troopers responded to the intersection of Route 225 and Clarks Valley Road in Middle Paxton Township shortly before 11:30 a.m.
According to police, the unidentified man was holed up inside of a car with a weapon. The incident ended peacefully shortly before 2 p.m. The man was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated.
The road was shut down for nearly 3 hours as investigators tried to negotiate with man.
No other details were immediately available.
