HARRISBURG, Pa. - Hundreds of people attended an outdoor movie at Midtown Cinema in Harrisburg, on Friday night. Dozens of other people enjoyed seeing films inside. People going to see the movies say they feel safe. Midtown has a membership program and almost all of the people who go there, know each other. They do feel saddened, by the fact, nationally two shootings have occurred in theaters over the last three years.

Jameson Lawrence says he loves movies, especially action films. He will not let the Lafayette, Louisiana shooting keep him from going to see movies. He says he does not like to get political about gun violence, but something needs to be done.

"I think you should be able to go to the movies, you should be able to go to church, be able to be at home and feel safe. Be able to walk in a neighborhood, like this, and not worry about something being overly stressed and pulling out a gun and killing people," said Lawrence.
