LEBANON, Pa. — Police have arrested a man accused of opening fire in Lebanon City and sending a bullet into a 15-year-old’s bedroom on Sunday night.
Jason Snavely, 34, of Annville, was arrested after a brief struggle with police Sunday and taken to Lebanon County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail. He is charged with aggravated assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault.
It all started around 7:54 p.m. when investigators said Snavely was involved in an argument with a woman in the backyard of a home along the 100 block of South 3rd Street. When the woman went to leave with her 10-year-old daughter–Snavely grabbed his gun and fired 2 to 3 shots into the air, police said. Snavely continued to fire more shots in their direction as they walked away–when one of the rounds went into a third-floor bedroom that was occupied by a 15-year-old girl. No one was hurt.
Authorities recovered the gun at the scene.
