WEST EARL TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A crash between a Red Rose Transit Authority bus and a Toyota Prius resulted in multiple injuries.
It happen at about 3:24 pm along the 3900 block of Oregon Pike(Route 272) near the intersection of Stone Quarry Road just outside of Brownstown in West Earl Township.
According to West Earl Township Police the RRTA bus was traveling north when a small red car in front of the bus slowed abruptly. The driver of bus swerved to his left to avoid hitting the car, crossed into the southbound lane and collided with the white Toyota Prius.
At least five people among the nine passengers aboard the RRTA bus suffered injuries and the Prius were taken to the hospital. None of the injuries are thought to be life threatening.
The crash remains under investigation.
