MANHEIM, TWP, Pa- Manheim Township police have identified and filed charges against a 16-year-old boy after he stabbed a girl at a park Tuesday evening.

According to police, Cameron Andrews, is being charged as an adult with attempted murder and  aggravated assault after he stabbed the 15-year-old girl  in Manheim Township’s Community Park. It happened around 5:30p.m.  along the 200 block of Petersburg Road.

The girl told police that she was walking with Andrews along a foot path at the park when he stabbed her multiple times in her lower back and left side. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Andrews later admitted to police that he did stab the girl.  Andrews was arraigned and is currently in Lancaster County Prison. His bail was denied.
