Holiday 2

LABOR DAY WARMING: High pressure to our east brought a beautiful, but toasty Sunday, and more great weather is in store through the rest of the holiday weekend. Tonight, skies are mostly clear, and overall it’s another nice night. Overnight low temperatures fall into the lower to middle 60s. As the high pressure shifts more to the east, expect a more southwesterly flow that warms us even further on Labor Day. Though it is very warm, it is dry for outdoor plans. The humidity increases through the day, and afternoon temperatures reach the middle to upper 80s.

MIDWEEK HEAT AND HUMIDITY: The heat is back in full force for the middle of next week. Expect the 90s to return both Tuesday and Wednesday. Of course, the humidity is still around as well. Heat indices feel like the middle to even upper 90s at times. The days are mainly dry, but there is the chance for a couple late afternoon thunderstorms on Wednesday.

BREAKING THE HEAT: On Thursday, our next cold front is scheduled to move through, and it’s enough to get us out of the 90s. Scattered thunderstorms are likely. The chance for showers a few showers still exists through Friday. The weekend looks dry with plenty of sunshine for the region. Temperatures are more seasonable too, in the middle to upper 70s!

Have a great Labor Day!
