SPRING GROVE, Pa.–A man accused of assaulting a 6-year-old boy in York County was arrested Saturday, police said.
Richard McClane, 27, of Spring Grove, is charged with simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment. He was taken to York County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bail.
McClane is accused of beating the boy at a home in Spring Grove, police said. The boy and his mother fled to a nearby business and called 911 for help. Investigators said the child suffered substantial blows to his face and body.
Police later arrested McClane at his home.
