HARRISBURG, Pa. - The state capital will be painted pink for the next month.  It's part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On Wednesday, the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition joined First Lady Frances Wolf to celebrate its start.

The fountain is in the East Wing Rotunda of the Capital Building and will be pink throughout October. Mrs. Wolf and others stressed how important it is for women to get annual breast screening and mammograms.

"The coalition, as we all know, is composed of a remarkably dedicated group of individuals with who all have work with an exceptional force to fight this dreaded disease," Wolf said. "We've all come a long way but we have a long way to go."

Coalition statistics show over 13,000 Pennsylvanians are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
