LOWER ALLEN TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A new outdoor store will open its doors this week in Cumberland County. The new 50,000 square foot Field & Stream store in Lower Allen Township officially opens on Thursday morning with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The four day grand opening celebration will include special guests and deals all weekend long. The new Field & Stream location is taking over the spot where Toys R Us used to be, on the Capital City Mall grounds.
The store will offer hunting, paddling, fishing and camping gear to shoppers and there's also a gun shop and an archery shop. Bow, gun and tackle specialists will also be available at the store to assist customers.
The new Field & Stream location will bring about 90 jobs to Central Pennsylvania. The company is owned by Dick's Sporting Goods and there are currently 15 locations across the East Coast open. The Camp Hill location will be the final new Field & Stream store to open in 2015 and the fifth location in Pennsylvania.
