CAMP HILL, Pa. – A brand new pediatric hospital in Cumberland County is giving the community a look at its services. The Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Camp Hill hosted an open house on Sunday afternoon.

Doctors and staff welcomed trick-or-treaters to the new hospital which is a wing on the fourth floor of Holy Spirit Hospital. The unit will be treating patients ranging from newborns to 18-year-olds. It features private rooms that include space for parents.

“Just like in the spirit of Halloween basically we wanted to open this on this day and open it for the community and for them to come see this unit,” Holy Spirit Pediatric Hospitalist Fadi Zakko said, “we want them to see the exam rooms as well if their kid would end up being here they have an idea of what kind of care they will get here.”

The unit will offer specialized care for patients suffering from many different conditions including poisoning, dehydration, and respiratory problems.
