DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The York County Harley Davidson Owner's Association held their 19th annual David Milliken Derr Jr. Toy Run Saturday. This year 568 bikers participated.
“Absolutely beautiful, absolutely beautiful. There were a lot of nice people along the way that waved us on that gave us encouragement," said Mrs. Clause, who led the way with Santa and Rudolph.
Gifts were given to 34 kids, hundreds more were donated for kids who may come to the hospital plus, a $17,000 check was donated. The money will be used to give kids toys throughout the year or for anything they may need to make their stay more comfortable.
Miss New Jersey Lindsey Giannini came up to help with the toy run.
“And to come up and see the kids outside and to be able to deliver the presents after we bought them last night really so emotional. What a cool first motorcycle ride," she said.
Giannini got involved with the ride after going to homecoming with Northeastern High School senior Marcus Josey. Josey also participated in the ride. He has been receiving treatment for Leukemia all week.
“ It makes me feel good inside you know after a whole week of pain really it makes me feel better just giving out the gifts," he said.
