LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – Police charge a roommate in an apartment burglary in Lancaster County. East Lampeter Township Police responded on Wednesday, December 9, to a report of a burglary and theft at a residence in the 500 block of Greenland Drive. They discovered that forced entry had been made into the apartment through a window. A television and jewelry were stolen.
An investigation revealed that an apartment roommate, Paul Robert Maund, Jr, 43, had staged the burglary and stole the property in order to buy heroin. Maund was arrested at the scene. It was also found that he was in possession of some suspected heroin.
Charges against Maund include Theft by Unlawful Taking and Possession of Heroin. Following his arraignment on Thursday he was sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
