LANCASTER, Pa. — An Elizabethtown man who shared nude photos of an underage girl and a lewd photo of himself will serve three years probation and register whereabouts with police, under Megan’s Law, for the next 15 years. Joseph E. Barone, 19, pleaded guilty in November to felony counts of possessing child pornography and criminal use of a cellphone, and a misdemeanor count of corruption of minors.
Barone requested and shared nude photos of others students, along with a lewd photo of himself, earlier this year, when he was a student at Lancaster Catholic. Prosecutors say he paid other individuals to provide him nude photos; he then shared those with other acquaintances for a fee.
Police identified one female victim, who was a 16-year-old student.
A count of disseminating child pornography was dropped, in exchange for Barone’s plea to the other charges.
