EPHRATA, Pa.–Ephrata Police arrested a woman for DUI on Monday who was found passed out in the driver’s seat with a 3-year-old boy in the back seat, according to police reports.
Sasha Adams, 24, of Reading, is charged with DUI, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of various controlled substances.
Officers responded to the 100 block of West Fulton Street in Ephrata Borough around 8:15 a.m. Monday. Investigators found Adams passed out in the vehicle with a 3-year-old boy in the back seat.
Adams was arrested and later released on $5,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 21.
The boy was not hurt and has been turned over to a grandparent.
