HARRISBURG, Pa. – U. S. Marshals arrest a North Carolina murder suspect in Harrisburg. He is identified as Nykeem Odom, 20, formerly of Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
On October 19, 2015, the Rocky Mount Police Department investigated a drive-by shooting that killed one man and injured two more. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Odom with First Degree Murder and a lesser included offense. On January 16, Rocky Mount police asked the United States Marshals Service to apprehend Odom. Deputy Marshals learned that he fled to Harrisburg.
The United States Marshal Service worked jointly in the investigation with personnel from the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, the Pennsylvania State Police, Lower Paxton Township Police Department and the Dauphin County Crisis Response.
