HARRISBURG, Pa. - Cheating allegations continue to swirl around the Pennsylvania State Police Academy. FOX43 received an anonymous tip on Wednesday that there was an alleged ring of cheaters in the current class.
Governor Tom Wolf spoke briefly about the reported scandal during a press conference this morning.
"It's a personal matter, and I won't comment on that," Wolf said, "but to the extent that it's true, that there was cheating , we can't tolerate that. That is absolutely unacceptable, and I won't tolerate it."
State Police Press Secretary Maria Finn, released this statement Wednesday on the allegations:
“State Police does not comment on, or confirm, any active internal investigation. Cheating or any similar behavior is absolutely unacceptable and would merit serious discipline for anyone involved. We have no further comment at this time.”
Wolf echoed Finn's statement.
"We'll work out the best way to find out if cheating actually went on, but people will pay the price."
