PARADISE, Pa.-- A Lancaster County community came together to take down cancer in honor of a late local athlete. Friends and family of Andy Miller hosted a fundraiser in his honor in Christiana on Sunday. The 42-year old lost his battle to a rare incurable blood cancer in January.

In his youth, Miller was a wrestler for Pequea Valley High School and also became a coach. His friend created the event to bring professional wrestling teams together for photo-ops and an auction in memory of Miller.

Organizer Kevin High says, "I loved him very much and yesterday, Andy, I wish you were here. I shaved my head for you and shaved my beard and everything and I miss you. And I know your family misses you too."

"Some of that stuff touches a lot of us to heart because when you're in wrestling and you're in a locker room together you're family, so we try to spread that out with everybody else," says Shawn Simmers, of Keystone Pro Wrestling.

The event raised $4,000, which will be donated to Miller's family to help pay medical bills.
