EAST PENNSBORO TWP, Pa.- Fire crews were called to an apartment fire in Cumberland County early Saturday morning.
Flames broke out just after 7:00 a.m. in a two-story apartment building along the 300 block of Shady Lane in East Pennsboro Township.
Before firefighters arrived on the scene, residents had to jump from the second floor to escape.
The building was heavily damaged by smoke, with most of the damage in a first-floor apartment, officials said.
Two people were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.  One cat is reportedly dead, another is missing.
The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
