LANCASTER, Pa. – Lancaster City Police Detectives release new video in their investigation of the homicide of 83 year old Erma Kaylor. Kaylor, who lived alone, was found deceased in her apartment at 234 W. Vine Street at about 8:57 a.m. on May 16, 2012. She had been stabbed numerous times and died as a result of her injuries. So far no arrests have been made in this case.
After examining video footage from cameras around the area, Detectives located footage of an unknown dark skinned male, who was seen in the area several times the evening of May 15th into the early morning hours of May 16th.
On May 15th, at about 8:09 p.m., the person of interest is observed walking with three other males from Mulberry Street into the 200 block of W. Mifflin Street, about a block from Kaylor’s apartment. The group is last seen walking on Vine Street.
In the new video the person of interest is seen walking alone, north on Arch Street from the direction of Kaylor’s apartment.
Investigators also received information that a person fitting the description of the male may have been seen around Erma Kaylor’s apartment building the night of the homicide.
Police would like to identify the male or any of the other individuals seen walking with him to see if they have any information regarding Erma Kaylor’s death.
The Lancaster City/County Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and/or conviction in this case.
