HARRISBURG, Pa. - Hundreds of people are tackling a dirty problem across the city of Harrisburg.  Volunteers took part in the 4th Annual Harrisburg Litter Clean Up on Saturday.

The community effort aims to pick up trash and litter from the city's streets, alleyways and public spaces. The group focused on Midtown, Uptown and South Allison Hill where litter is a major issue.

Organizer Eileen Carson, with Friends of Midtown says, "People are coming out because they want their community to be clean. We do care about Harrisburg. We live here and we like living here, and we want community people to come out into their communities and clean up."

The annual event is coordinated by the group "Clean and Green Harrisburg."
