YORK COUNTY, Pa. – A pair of traffic mishaps minutes apart snarls traffic on Route 15 south of Dillsburg, for hours Monday afternoon.
The first traffic incident involved a Recreational Vehicle. It happened at about 12:37 p.m. near the intersection of Range Road in Franklin Township.
The southbound RV was towing a passenger vehicle when it’s engine caught fire. The fire spread quickly and consumed both the RV and the towed vehicle before it was extinguished. There were no reported injuries.
All four lanes of Route 15 were closed for nearly 7 hours to allow heavy equipment remove the wreckage from the highway.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
