LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – A Columbia Borough faces several charges in relation to hit and run last March in Mountville.
West Hempfield Township Police responded at 11:30 p.m. on March 29 to reported hit and run crash in the 100 block of W. Main Street, Mountville.
Police say Gerard Naeem Wright, 34, had been traveling west n W. Main Street when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle struck the front porch of Faith Friendship Villa, causing extensive damage to both the home and the vehicle. There were no reported injuries.
Following the crash, Wright attempted to flee the scene on foot, but was followed by several witnesses to the crash. Police caught up with the fleeing Wright a few blocks later. He was found to be intoxicated. The results of a blood test showed that he had both drugs and alcohol in his system.
Wright was arrested on DUI, and Hit and Run charges.
