MIDDLETOWN – Republican Lower Swatara Township Commissioner and local businessman, Tom Mehaffie, released the following statement regarding his Primary Election victory for State House of Representatives for the 106th District:
“I want to thank my family, the voters and my wonderful volunteers for their tireless support,” Mehaffie said. “This is an incredible honor and I will not let you down. I am committed to fighting to hold the line on taxes, passing reforms to make government more effective and efficient and to ensure we have the best schools possible to educate our young people. I am looking forward to the November Election and making the 106th House District an even better place to live, work and raise a family.”
Tom Mehaffie currently serves as a Lower Swatara Township Commissioner, a position he has held since 2010. Tom owns Breski Beverage Distributor, which he acquired and grew as a small business over twenty years. Breski Beverage is now one of the premier beverage distributors in the Harrisburg area. Tom also serves as the President of the Malt Beverage Distributors Association of Pennsylvania.
Tom Mehaffie earned the endorsements of the Dauphin County Republican Committee, Representative John Payne, Dauphin County Commissioner Mike Pries, Hummelstown Mayor Bradley Miller, PA State Realtors Association and the recommendations of the National Rifle Association.
Aside from being a small business owner and Township Commissioner, Tom is also a member of the Executive Board of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Commissioners, Dauphin County Planning Commission, the Lower Swatara Lions Club, the Zembo Shrine, and the Prince Edwin Spring Creek Masonic Lodge. Tom served as a past member of the Dauphin County Library Board.
Tom and his wife Linda live in Middletown. Linda, a successful Realtor, serves as a Middletown Area School Board member.
