CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa.-- Route 34 is shut down in Mt. Holly Springs after a tractor trailer crashed into a house and has knocked out power in the surrounding area.

Both directions of Route 34 are closed between Pine and Harman Streets.

The crash occurred around 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning on Baltimore Avenue and left the driver with injuries to his lower limbs. He was flown life-lined to Hershey Medical Center. A neighbor also suffered injuries while attempting to put out the fire.

The area is expected to be without power through part of this afternoon after the crash. However, this will not affect voting as it will still take place today in the area of the outage.

FOX43 will have updates as more details become available.
